Federal Property Management Regulations (FPMR) govern the acquisition, management and use, and maintenance of all general purpose space required for Reclamation operations. The FPMR regulations will be applied consistently to all Reclamation-owned or -leased space. In addition, 425 DM provides supplemental guidance for space management.
The office head is responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective space management program. An individual will be designated by the office head to be responsible for all aspects of space management which include the following functions:
(a) Contacts and negotiations with GSA officials on space matters.
(b) Studies and surveys of space occupied to obtain full and effective utilization.
(c) Analysis of requirements and to obtain full and effective utilization.
(d) Maintenance of space according to established standards.
(e) Maintenance of records and preparation of required reports.
