Roza Diversion Dam, located 10 miles north of Yakima, diverts water from the Yakima River. The dam is a concrete weir, movable crest structure, 486 feet long at the crest, 67 feet high, and contains 21,700 cubic yards of concrete. In 2010, Reclamation modified the 110-foot long west roller gate to reduce the amount of water leakage under the gate, and to provide improved downstream passage for juvenile salmonids of all species, as well as adult steelhead kelts.
