Sites collected with the use of a single beam echo sounder (Innerspace model 455 XPe) tied to a survey quality Trimble GPS. The GPS is tied to a high order survey marker or it's location was surveyed from a high order survey marker in order to allow radio communication when collecting depths.
Shots of the water surface elevations are taken throughout the surveyed area. The post processing of the depth soundings produce elevations of the river bottom by subtracting the depths from the water surface elevations. Hypac software was used for post processing.
