Upper Snake Irrigation Project Flow Augmentation |
||||
| Reclamation consulted with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA Fisheries) on the management of the upper Snake River projects as required by the ESA. Under a 2008 NOAA Fisheries BiOP Reclamation provides up to 487 kaf of water for flow augmentation to aide migration of juvenile salmonids in the lower Snake and Columbia Rivers. Reclamation submits an annual report to NOAA Fisheries in December of each year documenting the status of activities related to the Incidental Take Statement. Included in that report is the final accounting of the source, amount and timing of release of the 487 kaf for the year. |
