Hungry Horse Dam Visitor Center Closes for Season

The Hungry Horse Dam Visitor Center is closed for the season and will reopen around Memorial Day, May 2003.

Hungry Horse Dam is located on the Flathead River about 9 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. The dam is owned and operated by the Bureau of Reclamation and is a tourist attraction in northwestern Montana.

About 30,000 people came to the visitor center this summer season. The area is popular for summer vacations and outdoor recreation activities.
