What: C.A.S.T. for Kids. C.A.S.T.. stands for "Catch A Special Thrill" and offers children with a wide range of disabilities an opportunity to enjoy a day of fishing.
When: Sunday, September 8.
Where: Henry Hagg Lake located near Forest Grove.

Volunteers and partners: U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, Forest Grove Fire & Rescue, Washington County, Oregon, C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation, and the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society.
Background: About 37 children, aged 7 to 16, who have a wide range of disabilities are expected. Volunteers from the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society will be on hand with fishing boats. The Kiwanis of Ballad Towne and Forest Grove will serve a barbecue lunch to participants, their families, and volunteers.
