Amended Biological Assessment for Snake River Operations Submitted
The Bureau of Reclamation submitted an Amended Biological Assessment to the National Marine Fisheries Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to reinitiate Endangered Species Act consultation on operations and maintenance of Reclamation’s Snake River projects above Brownlee Reservoir.
The Amended BA evaluates the potential project effects on species listed as endangered or threatened under the ESA. Potentially affected species include salmon and steelhead, bull trout, snails, bald eagle, grizzly bear, and Ute ladies’ tresses. The document was submitted to the two agencies on November 7.
