Fishery Research Flumes at the Denver Technical Service Center Hydraulics Research Laboratory
A flume is an artifical water channel that can simulate different channel shapes, flow rates, and hydraulic structures. These images show the research flumes used to test new fishery engineering designs for fish separators, crowders, and other devices to improve fish salvage at the Tracy Fish Collection Facility.
