This group provides technical and computer services and support to the geotechnical, geological, and geophysical groups within the Technical Service Center and to other groups throughout Reclamation.
This group's highly trained and experienced technicians and scientists support a wide variety of Reclamation activities including:
- Computer support services for technical workstations and unique applications
- Computer-aided design and drafting (CADD)
- Visual aids in engineering design and layout
- Two- and three-dimensional analyses for design representations
- 2-D capabilities include typical engineering drawings as well as charts, graphs, and tables
- 3-D capabilities include terrain modeling/surface modifications, GIS spatial data analyses, contouring, alignments, and survey data
- Contouring, alignments, profiles, and cross sections
- Global Positioning Systems (GPS) surveys and map creation
- Image processing
- Slope stability analysis
