Kathleen H. Frizell, Juddson Sechrist. 2006. "Dissolved Gas and Fishery Investigations at Ridgway Dam (Final Report)". Bureau of Reclamation, Report Number HL-2006-03.
Abstract: This report documents the findings of the gas supersaturation and fishery investigations in the Uncompahgre River below Reclamations’ Ridgway Dam in western Colorado. Releases from the outlet works and bypass structures both produce increased levels of gas supersaturation in the river reach below the dam. Gas bubble trauma is resulting in the fishery. Both gas levels and severity of gas bubble trauma decrease in the river with distance downstream. A gas abatement structure is proposed.
