Environmental Impact Assessment Studies

We conduct environmental impact assessment studies associated with Reclamation's and other Federal agencies' compliance requirements under the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and other legislation. Our staff has extensive experience in evaluating project effects on anadromous and resident fisheries, raptors, waterfowl, and neotropical migrant songbirds, wetlands and riparian habitats, and desert ecosystems.

We are currently involved in studies that encompass a range of issues such as endangered species surveys and monitoring, assessment of brown-headed cowbird control and parasitism, riparian habitat restoration, mitigation monitoring, in-stream flow requirements, selenium effects on reservoir and stream fisheries, and wildlife responses to saltcedar control.

We have developed several habitat models that link historic and projected future hydrology to habitat change, or use geographic information system capabilities to estimate changes in targeted habitats from proposed project actions.
