Lowell Pimley
Director, Technical Services Center

Lowell Pimley is the Director of Reclamation's Technical Service Center in Denver, Colorado. As Director, Mr. Pimley oversees the activities of Reclamation's center for engineering, science, and research services provided in support of Reclamation's mission.

Prior to serving as Director, Mr. Pimley was the Chief of the Technical Service Center's Civil Engineering Services Division. In that position, he oversaw staff involved in the planning, research, design, and construction management of large civil works construction projects as well as the development of technical standards for these activities.

Prior to his time as Division Chief, Mr. Pimley served in a variety of positions in Reclamation's Denver-based technical center including construction inspector, design engineer, design team leader, study team leader, and group manager. In these roles, his work included conducting and coordinating planning studies, designs, and construction support on a variety of water resource and related projects.

Mr. Pimley joined Reclamation in 1980 and holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from Montana State University earned in 1978 and 1979 respectively. He has been a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado since 1985.
