Central Valley Project Improvement Act Draft Reports Available For Public Review And Comment
Reclamation and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have jointly released for public review and comment the draft CVPIA Ten-Year Report and draft 10 Years of Progress report. The reports summarize accomplishments since the 1992 passage of the CVPIA and explain how those accomplishments have fulfilled the intent of Congress and the goals and objectives of the CVPIA.

A Federal Register Notice published on June 19, 2003, begins a 60-day formal comment period which closes on Monday, August 18, 2003. The Department of the Interior seeks the public's comments on whether the draft CVPIA Ten-Year Report and draft 10 Years of Progress report are adequate in reporting actions completed to date, with a focus on reporting methodologies and quantification of the accomplishments. Comments are also sought regarding future CVPIA implementation actions to better identify when all or portions of the CVPIA are complete. In addition, comments are sought on identifying a process that enhances on-going funding decisions.
