For Release: May 13, 2005

The Bureau of Reclamation will be increasing releases from Fresno Dam on Saturday, May 14, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., to test the operation of a recently rehabilitated regulating gate. Anyone on or near the river should stay alert for rapidly changing flows and water depths. The flows in the river may vary between 200 cubic feet per second (cfs) and 1,000 cfs. The maximum release will be limited to a few minutes duration. The noticeable change in the depth of the river is expected to be limited to the first few miles downstream of the dam.
