Reclamation is preparing the Lake Pueblo Resource Management Plan. The agency is also preparing an Environmental Assessment in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. CPW is preparing a separate Supplemental Park Management Plan for state owned lands. The agencies are sharing a public process.
Reclamation owns and operates the trans-basin Fryingpan-Arkansas Project, which includes Pueblo Dam, Reservoir, and the surrounding federal lands. CPW is responsible for operating, managing, and administering recreation, fish, wildlife and other natural resources through a lease agreement on these lands.
