FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation today released final environmental documents for execution of Interim Renewal Contracts with six Central Valley Project contractors.
The contracts are with the cities of Avenal, Coalinga and Huron; the California Department of Fish and Game (now California Department of Fish and Wildlife), and the Panoche and San Luis water districts. The contracts provide a bridge between expiration of original long-term water service contracts and long-term renewal of those contracts.
The Final Environmental Assessments and Findings of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?Project_ID=11351 and http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?Project_ID=11350.
