On Veterans Day Reclamation Waives Day Use Fees at New Melones Lake for All Visitors

SONORA, Calif. – On Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, the Bureau of Reclamation’s Central California Area Office will waive day use fees at New Melones Lake for all visitors in honor of the men and women of the U.S. military who have given so much.
In addition to Veterans Day, day use fees are also waived at New Melones Lake on National Public Lands Day in September of each year. Park fees that are not waived include “Expanded Amenity Fees” such as boat launching, camping and other fees.

The New Melones Visitor Center and Museum are located on Highway 49, between the towns of Sonora and Angels Camp, just a quarter-mile south of the Highway 49 Stevenot Stanislaus River Bridge, 6850 Studhorse Flat Road, Sonora, CA 95370. The Visitor Center and Museum are open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
