Reclamation Improvements Require Temporary Closures for East Lake Facilities
BISMARCK, N.D. -- The Bureau of Reclamation's Dakotas Area Office, in partnership with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, will begin construction activities at East Park Lake north of Wilton, ND.

Work being completed includes the addition of a handicap accessible walkway to the restrooms, a new boat ramp and a new boat trailer parking area.

"We are temporarily closing public access to the facilities at East Park Lake, except the fish cleaning station, to allow work to be completed and minimize public safety issues during construction," said Joe Hall, Division Chief Environmental Management and Technical Studies. "Work is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day to kick off the summer recreation season with new amenities in place."

Beginning today, crews will start the initial construction phase for the handicap accessible walkway with the remaining work to begin next week.
