The Bureau of Reclamation has released a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for proposed geotechnical and geophysical investigations at Terminal Dam, located in Solano County near the city of Fairfield. The Terminal Dam Facility consists of two earthen embankment dams and a small reservoir.
The purpose of the proposed action is to collect geotechnical data of the dam embankments and their foundations and geophysical data on the Green Valley Fault mapped in the vicinity of the Terminal Dam Facility. The proposed investigations are part of Reclamation’s Terminal Dam Corrective Action Study.
The Draft EA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available for public review at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_projdetails.cfm?Project_ID=9384.
