Reclamation Releases Environmental Documents for Firebaugh Canal Water District Canal Lining Project
The Bureau of Reclamation has released final environmental documents for canal and pump station improvements in the Firebaugh Canal Water District, which will be partially funded with a grant from the WaterSMART Program. The program provides funding for water conservation projects across the 17 western states.

FCWD (Firebaugh Canal Water District) will line 2.6 miles of canal with concrete to reduce water seepage and will upgrade a pump station to improve water management. The FCWD is located near Fresno, Calif., and the canal is located west of Firebaugh, Calif.

The Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and may be viewed online at the online address below. If you encounter problems accessing the documents, please call 916-978-5100 (TTY 916-978-5608) or e-mail mppublicaffairs@usbr.gov.
