Reclamation is seeking public input on the possible environmental impacts of repairing Tsaile Dam on the Navajo Indian reservation, Apache County, Arizona. The dam is located on the eastern boundary of the Canyon de Chelly National Monument. Public participation will assist Reclamation in the identification of relevant environmental issues related to the proposed project that should be addressed in an upcoming Environmental Assessment.

The project is a joint venture between Reclamation, the Navajo Nation, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Proposed corrective actions include modification of the outlet works and construction of a stability berm on the downstream embankment of the dam.
