Darryl Beckmann and Debbie Clark Named to Positions at Bureau of Reclamation

Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Bob Johnson today announced the selection of Darryl Beckmann as Deputy Commissioner Policy, Administration, and Budget and Debbie Lynn Clark as the Director Administration.

"Darryl and Debbie bring a wealth of knowledge to their new positions," said Johnson. "Their career experiences working both in Reclamation and in the Department of the Interior will be of great benefit to Reclamation."

As Deputy Commissioner, Beckmann will be responsible for Administration; Security, Safety and Law Enforcement; Program and Budget; and Policy and Program Services. Beckmann previously served as the Director Administration.

Before that, Beckmann served as the Deputy Regional Director for the Upper Colorado Region in Salt Lake City, Utah where he developed and executed integrated programs to help the Upper Colorado Region manage the diverse resources they oversee. Beckmann is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

As Director Administration, Clark will be a key advisor to Deputy Commissioner Beckmann and other senior level officials. She will also be responsible for a variety of issues, initiatives, and policies relating to financial management, supply and property management, office services, diversity and human resources management, civil rights and equal opportunity, and acquisition services.

Clark joins Reclamation from the U.S. Department of the Interior where she has been the Deputy Assistant Secretary Indian Affairs for Management where she was responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, acquisition and asset management functions; human resources; facilities management and construction; and information technology resources. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University at Fresno, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Marymount University, and a Master of Science in Information Systems from George Mason University.

Beckmann and Clark will assume their new duties June 23, 2008.
