For the seventeenth consecutive year, employees with the Bureau of Reclamation's Mid-Pacific Region are participating in the "Gifts From The Heart" program, helping to make the holidays a little merrier for 275 children and 50 seniors in the greater Sacramento area.

Last Holiday Season, more than 4,000 children and 600 adults and seniors in Sacramento County received wrapped presents through this program; an estimated 13,500 gifts were distributed. "Gifts From The Heart" is coordinated by the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services, Child Protective Services.

Please visit Reclamation's Web site at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/headlines/gifts/index.html to view photos from last year's event. Reclamation employees purchase gifts, wrap them, and deliver them to the loading docks for the "Gifts From The Heart" program staff.

All gifts will be delivered to Conference Room W-2620, on Wednesday, December 6, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 8 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2005. The media is invited to the Federal Building, 2800 Cottage Way, Conference Room W-2620, on Thursday, December 7, 2006, from 9 to 11 a.m. as volunteers load the truck with hundreds of wrapped gifts.
