The Visitor Arrival Center at Grand Coulee Dam will open for the 2003 season on February 1, according to officials from the Bureau of Reclamation. Hours for the center, located on State Highway 155 below the dam, will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during the spring with extended hours for the summer.

Guided tours of the dam will also be available, weather permitting, beginning at the center. A variety of movies and exhibits at the center explain the operation of Grand Coulee Dam and Reclamation personnel are available to assist visitors.

The summer Laser Show at Grand Coulee will begin on May 24 and continue nightly through September 1. Times for the show are: May 24 through July 10 p.m.; August 1 through September 1 9:30 p.m. From May 24 through September 1, the Visitor Arrival Center will be open from 8:30 a.m. until after the evening Laser Show each evening.

The Visitor Arrival Center will close for the remainder of 2003 beginning September 2. This early closure is necessary so that scheduled modifications to the building can be done.
