Native American Program--Commissioner's Office
Reclamation established the Native American Affairs Office in 1989 to provide leadership for Reclamation's activities benefitting or otherwise affecting Indian Tribes. Today, the office is in the Commissioner's Office and continues to provide the overall lead for Reclamation's Native American Program. The office is headed by a Director, located in Washington, DC, and supported by program and policy staff in Washington, DC, and Denver, Colorado.
The office endeavors to work closely with Reclamation's Regional NAP managers to receive their input for new policy initiatives as well as information used in program formulation.
