Hualapai Tribe
- Work was completed for the exploratory drilling of several wells in the Prospect and Truxton Valleys on the reservation. The additional water supply will support economic development (tourism) and range management for livestock. Status: Completed.
Hopi Tribe
- At the request of the Hopi Tribe’s Water Resources Department,
a field pilot study to test the potential for chemical treatment of
polluted ground water was undertaken by Reclamation, Tribal and contract
resources. The study results indicate that this treatment method has
potential as an alternative treatment method for ground water. Status:
Completed.
- In response to a request from the Hopi Tribe to provide assistance
under the Emergency Drought Program, a grant was arranged to provide
funding for drilling and completion of new range wells and rehabilitation
of existing wells on the reservation. Status: Completed.
