Interior Department Electronic Acquisition System - Procurement Desktop (IDEAS-PD)
IDEAS-PD is a Department of the Interior (DOI) mandated computer system, which provides a method for processing the acquisition of goods and services including construction, and interagency acquisitions. It also provides mechanisms for obligations of awards, electronic commerce activities and reporting of acquisition socio-economic information to the Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation.
IDEAS-PD is composed of an integrated acquisition system with three active interfaces. Requisitioning, solicitation, award, and post-award activities are all contained in the single software.
IDEAS-PD interfaces with the Electronic Commerce System which allows for the posting of solicitations (RFQs, IFBs, RFPs, Announcements, and awards) with related documents and for receipt of quotes from vendors for simplified acquisition.
IDEAS-PD system interfaces with the Reclamation Federal Financial System (FFS) and posts basic vendor records (DUNS number, Vendor name, Address, Tax Identification Number, and 1099 status) to the FFS database. IDEAS-PD also posts award information and the financial obligation to the FFS database when an action is awarded.
