Subject: Electronic Transmittal (ET) No. 07-06, Supplement No. 1, Federal Procurement Data Verification and Validation (FPDS-NG)
  1. Purpose: The purpose of this supplementation to ET 07-06 is to change:
    1. the sample size of FPDS-NG actions to be reviewed to at least 20%; and  
    2. the date quarterly review data is due to the Acquisition and Assistance Management Division (AAMD) to the 1st calendar day of each quarter.
  2. Effective Date: This guidance is effective immediately.
  3. Expiration Date: Until cancelled or superseded.
  4. Background:
    1. The purpose of ET 07-06 was to transmit FPDS-NG policy issued in the Department of the Interior letter dated May 15, 2007 and the Department of the Interior Acquisition Policy Release (DIAPR) 2007-01. The policy established quarterly FPDS-NG data verification and validation requirements.
    2. The Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) issued a memorandum dated March 9, 2007 requiring agencies to establish verification and validation plans for the data entered in the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS). Subsequently, the Department Senior Procurement Executive has issued a memorandum dated May 15, 2007 (Attachment 1).
  5. Action Required: The initial release of ET 07-06 remains unchanged, except that each region and the Denver Office shall quarterly:
    1. review at least 20% (rather than 3%) of actions they reported to FPDS-NG; and
    2. submit review documentation to AAMD by the 1st calendar day (rather than the 7th) following the end of a quarter.
