Department of the Interior Mid-Year Accomplishments in Business and Economic Development Program Goals for Fiscal Year 1998
We are forwarding a copy of a memorandum dated May 15, 1998 from the Director, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, subject as above, which provides mid-year statistics on our accomplishments under the FY98 BEDP program. The memorandum also advises that DOI is slightly behind in meeting its small business goal. At this time, we are exceeding all five primary goaling categories. However, the most challenging half of the fiscal year lies ahead. Please continue your excellent performance so that we may maintain this position throughout the remainder of the year and make an even greater contribution to the overall BEDP accomplishments of the Department.
We are also providing, for your information, a summary of BEDP implications from the franchising program at Minerals Management Service.
