Subject: Business Utilization and Development Memorandum (BUDM) 05-05 - Department of the Interior Acquisition Policy Release (DIAPR) 2000-2, Amendment 3 - Streamlined Acquisition of Services from Small Business

The purpose of this BUDM is to transmit information regarding the release of DIAPR 2000-2, Amendment 3, issued on April 15, 2005, which notifies contracting personnel of the expiration of the pilot program that allowed for a class waiver from the synopsis requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 5.2 when acquiring services valued between $25,000 and $100,000 from small businesses.

The pilot program expired on March 31, 2005 and the SBA and OFPP have decided not to further extend the program. DIAPR 2000-2, Amendment 3, may be viewed at the Department of the Interior Acquisition Policy Release web site: http://www.doi.gov/pam/dpr2000-02amen3.html
