Subject: Business Utilization and Development Memorandum (BUDM) 05-04 - Department of the Interior Acquisition Policy Release (DIAPR) 2005-1 -- Reauthorization of Direct Awards to 8(a) Contractors
The purpose of this BUDM is to transmit information regarding the release of DIAPR 2005-1, issued on February 10, 2005, which updates the policy that re-delegates to warranted contracting officers the authority to contract directly with Section 8(a) businesses. It includes a revised Partnership Agreement document between the Department and the Small Business Administration, which replaces the agreement put into effect by DIAPR 2002-1. This authorization is conditioned upon full compliance with the Agreement. DIAPR 2005-1 may be viewed at the Department of the Interior Acquisition Policy Release web site: http://www.doi.gov/pam/dpr2005-01.html.
This BUDM expires: September 30, 2006
