The attached Department of the Interior Acquisition Policy Release was signed on May 19, 2004 by the Director, Office of Acquisition and Property Management (PAM). It implements the interim Federal Acquisition Regulation rule on contracting under the Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Procurement Program established under section 308 of the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (Public Law 108-183), which was published in the Federal Register on May 5, 2004.
The attached policy release is effective upon issuance. (A copy will also be posted to the PAM website in the near future.) Please circulate the policy issuance as widely as possible.
