Title:
Temporary Warren Act Contracts for Conveyance of Non-Central Valley Project Water in the Tehama-Colusa and Corning Canals in 2012 EA
Site:
Summary:
Reclmation is proposing to enter into contracts for 1-year for the conveyance of non-CVP groundwater in CVP facilities, specifically, the Tehama-Colusa and Corning Canals (Canals), when excess capacity is available. Currently, three of 17 water districts served by the Canals have requested use of the Canals and others are expected due to dry hydrologic conditions. The source of the Non-Central Valley Project water would be groundwater pumped from existing wells and discharged to, and removed from, the Canals through existing facilities or through facilities reviewed and permitted on an individual basis.
