Summary:
Reclamation would execute agreements for water transfers with Reclamation, Central Valley Project (CVP) and State Water Project (SWP) contractors; and the Exchange Contractors for water service years 2014 to 2038. The proposed new transfer program would provide for the transfer and/or exchange of up to 150,000 acre-feet of substitute water from the Exchange Contractors to several potential users over a 25-year time frame (water service years 2014–2038), where necessary, to supplement previous environmental compliance documents prepared by Reclamation and the Exchange Contractors.

Status:
01/31/2013:
Draft EIS/EIR was available for a 60-day review beginning on May 4, 2012. Comments were due by July 3, 2012. A public meeting to receive public and agency comments was held in Los Banos, California on June 13, 2012. Final EIS/EIR available on January 31, 2013.
