Title:
Truckee River Below Derby Dam Riparian Ecosystem Restoration
Site:
Summary:
The project to be analyzed is augmenting the fishway at Derby Dam, Truckee River, east of Reno, Nevada, by providing a riparian canopy- shaded channel in the Truckee River below the fishway. The channel will enhance the aquatic habitats by improving fish access and water quality. The increase in riparian canopy should result in lowering water temperatures and increasing terrestrial species richness.
