The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Resource Management Plan and the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft RMP/EIS) on the Newlands Project. The purpose of the Draft RMP/EIS is to provide a single, comprehensive land use plan that will guide contemporary resource and recreation needs of the federal lands administered by Reclamation in the Newlands Project planning area.

Two open house sessions to provide information and receive public input will be held on:

Written comments on the Draft RMP should be mailed to Mr. Bob Edwards, Bureau of Reclamation, 705 N. Plaza Street, Room 320, Carson City, NV 89701, or emailed to redwards@usbr.gov, or faxed to 775-884-8376 by close of business Monday, July 29, 2013.
