Recreation Passes
The Bureau of Reclamation is a participant in the new Interagency Pass Program which was created by the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (REA) and authorized by Congress in December 2004. Other participating agencies include the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Land Management. REA authorizes a series of interagency recreation passes, collectively known as the America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. REA also authorizes sites like New Melones to develop site-specific recreation passes.
