Shasta Dam Cast Event June 25, 2011

Non-interactive green spacer  On Saturday, June 25, 2011, many memories were made at the twelfth annual C.A.S.T. For Kids Event at Shasta Lake. The event was a huge success thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and our community. As in the past, we had a great showing of special needs and disadvantaged kids to participate in CAST( Catch A Special Thrill) as evident in their smiles in the pictures below. There were five fishing clubs with boats plus the huge patio boat from Lake Shasta Caverns, the Cavern Queen,  which took the children and their parents or guardians out for a morning of fishing on beautiful Shasta Lake in Northern, California. Many of the kids came back with some huge fish!

Non-interactive green spacer  Without the help of the whole community, the fishermen and their boats, and all the fantastic volunteers this day would not happen. The weather was perfect, the lake is full, the smiles were everywhere, and the fish stories were getting bigger by the minute. Above all… everyone is looking forward to doing it all again next year!
