Plan Your Trip

• Take a self-guided tour through the American River Water Education Center exhibit area.
• Participate in a guided tour led by center staff relating detailed information that each display has to offer.
• Choose a film or video to watch from the video library.
• Learn about river dynamics during a session on the Sand Table.
• Utilize our classroom for group meetings, discussions or educational program workshops.
• Tour the grounds to discover outdoor exhibits on solar power, xeriscape and outdoor conservation techniques.
• Hike, jog, bike, roller blade or horseback ride on the American River Parkway.
• Have a picnic lunch. Picnic tables and restroom facilities are located on site.
• View a video of Folsom Dam
