Yuma Siphon Irrigation Project Video

The commemoration of Arizona's Statehood Centennial is underway in the Yuma area with this video and the opening of a new water history exhibit at the Quartermaster Depot managed by the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Association. The Depot served as Reclamation's original office site in 1904, and is now home to a variety of water history displays. Reclamation’s close ties to the Yuma area are grounded in the role and importance of the Yuma Siphon Irrigation Project, finished in 1912, the same year Arizona became a state. The Siphon remains the primary irrigation feature for the valley and is located adjacent to the Depot grounds.
