The O'Donnell Canyon fish barrier is intended to prevent upstream movements of nonnative fishes from the Babocomari River to portions of O'Donnell Canyon populated with threatened native fishes (existing Gila chub and Gila topminnow). Construction of the O'Donnell Canyon fish barrier is anticipated for spring 2009.
