Dear Fellow Federal Employee: It seems like nearly every day we are asked to donate to this cause or that cause, to this need or that need. It can be difficult deciding what causes and needs to donate our hard earned treasure to, or whether to donate at all. It is now, again, that time of year to make those tough personal decisions about the 2007 CFC (Combined Federal Campaign). The CFC is the only authorized solicitation of employees in the federal workplace on behalf of charitable organizations. I hope you choose to contribute, and if you do, you can make a one time cash or check donation, or use the payroll deduction method. With around 1,400 Federal Employees in the area covered by our campaign, if each donated just $40, we would reach our 2007 goal of $56,000. Each year we have employees donate much more than $40. Many donate hundreds of dollars, and a few donate more than a thousand. Of course we also have a lot who donate nothing. If you donate more than $40, please, keep donating at that higher amount and maybe increase your contribution a little. If you have not donated in the past, please, consider giving something. Try a dollar a pay period. It's a great place to start! We are often asked to..."give till it hurts". I am asking you to give what you can if you can, no hurt, no pain involved. ...THANK YOU...
