Public Affairs
The Public Affairs staff provides timely and accurate information about Reclamation programs and activities related to the management, development and protection of water and related resources in all or parts of nine Great Plains states. The staff supports the agency by seeking opportunities to provide the public and media with information about its programs, which increases understanding about our mission of Managing Water in the West.
To accomplish our goals, the staff provides expertise, advice and counsel in an array of public affairs areas:
- Strategic communications
- Public participation and collaboration
- Design, production, and management of communication tools such as publications, audio-visual programs, and internet-based communications
- Issues management
- Legislative affairs
- Media relations
- Community relations
