We are committed to making the 2009 Combined Federal Campaign the most successful ever by exceeding last year's contributions and increasing the amount given per employee in the Big Sky Region. We ask each of you to bring your energy and resources to this effort and join us in being a champion of this cause by saying, “I CAN,” which is the theme for this year's campaign. Since the 1960s, it has been a tradition for federal employees to help others by making charitable donations through the CFC. The problems of our world today are not much different than they were 50 years ago. Drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, cancer and heart disease, animal neglect, domestic violence, runaway teens, elder care, child care, and a multitude of other issues touch virtually every community around the world, including our own. On the following pages, local, national and international charitable organizations define their mission. They are the conduit between those in daunting circumstances and those individuals in a position to help. Please take a moment to reflect on your relative good fortune and to think about those who have less. Each and every one of us has been touched in some way by one or more of these charities. We know of someone who has suffered a life changing experience and whose life or circumstances have been bettered because of one of the organizations funded by the CFC. The CFC is one of the most efficient - and one of the easiest - ways for you as federal employee to help others. Two great benefits of donating through the CFC are: 1) CFC allows you to sign up for payroll deduction and now many employees can do so using Employee Express personal payroll system. 2) CFC allows you to personally designate where your contributions go. All the deserving organizations listed in this brochure have obtained their 501(c)3 designation and been screened by a team of local federal employees. The need has never been greater, donating has never been easier. Join us in making sure others receive the help they need! Thank you for continuing to make the CFC the largest workplace charity campaign in the United States.
