| In the previous comment about 'unfunded mandates' like cost of computer security training in the TSC charged to clients, the commenter forgot to note the cost of all the moves that have occurred in and between Bldg. 67 and 56. Many groups have been moved several times and plans continue for more moves between floors for no apparent reason. These moves are extrememly time consuming/non-productive use and our time is almost fully billed to whatever job (client) we're working for at the time. It was estimated that even not moving, but installing new carpet on some floors cost over $10,000 per sq' ft. Other estimates indicated management could have bought each employee a house for the sq. ft. cost of a cubicle. The joke among TSC employess is that each time we are moving floors saves so much money (management reason given for doing it)that it justifies moving even more chairs on the Titanic deck and is therefore a perpetual money making scheme. |
