As part of process to establish the LCCs, Reclamation and FWS have held a series of outreach meetings to inform and engage potential LCC partners on the benefits of participating in an LCC. The outreach meetings also provided an opportunity for participants to express their concerns about the LCCs. The Desert LCC outreach meetings resulted in the creation of a Steering Committee and a Science Working group that include Federal agencies, State agencies, tribes, universities, and NGOs.

The Desert LCC Steering Committee serves as the executive body for decision-making to accomplish the Desert LCC mission. Its meeting summaries and presentations are available for the public to view.
