Power Generation Narration
Geology Very little geology has been performed for the No. 2 damsite. The dam is located on the flood plain, with 20 to 30 feet of alluvial and residual soils overlaying the Pierre Shale bedrock. The soils remaining in the foundation after stripping were generally described as stiff clay, as disclosed by 4-inch auger holes, two each at the former wasteway and outlet structures, made in 1952.
